Description
In order to effectively face the Soviet T-34 and KV tanks, in early 1942 the Germans began to incorporate in their Panzer IV the 75 mm long gun L/43 with which a much greater armor penetration was achieved. The basis for this modification was the Panzer IV Aus.F which were marked as Ausf.F2 to distinguish them from the vehicles armed with short guns.
